Tonight, Avery's mom and I managed to connect. We re-hashed memories from the NICU. It is hard to believe that only 9months ago we were deep in the trenches of oxygen and feeding tubes. We both agree that it was in the bigger plans that Sam and Avery came early...God knew we couldn't have survived that NICU alone- too many late night and early morning feeds to not have another insane mother there too.

I love the big belly that just barely makes it in to the shot.
You have to get me a copy of the picture of Sam in his isolette. That way I can do the same, scrapbook and frame it for us and then remember the good, bad, and ugly times knowing we got through it.
